The story behind Miss Mylene Talks — and why every conversation starts with education, not a pitch.
People started calling me "Miss" long before I ever called myself an advisor.
For over a decade, I worked as a business development manager while building my career in insurance — nearly 13 years and counting. Somewhere along the way, I realized my real strength wasn't closing deals. It was standing in front of a room, breaking down something confusing, and watching it finally make sense to someone.
As referrals and in-person meetings became harder to rely on, I moved online — and "Miss Mylene Talks" simply became the name for what I was already doing: having honest, unhurried conversations about money and protection, in a way that actually respects the person on the other side of it.
Today, that same philosophy shapes everything — from how I work with individual families, to how I support the 40+ advisors on my team.
To help Filipino-Canadian families understand every option available to them, so they can make an informed decision — never one made out of pressure, and never one made too late.
A future where most immigrant Filipino families are protected — not because they were sold something, but because they understood their choices. And a growing team where anyone drawn to this work has a place to build a real career in it.
